Yet Another Mail Merge is an extension available on Google Workspace Marketplace (formerly called G Suite) to send email marketing campaigns from Google Sheets in Gmail. Even though it enables you to send personalized mass emails, most of its processes (from creating an email campaign to checking analytics) are manual and not that comfortable to use, while other similar tools are easier to use.
The benefits that Gumbamail offers in comparison to similar extensions such as Yet Another Mail Merge are the following:
Your emails will be sent out with Gumbamail’s own servers, which means you do not have to comply with Gmail’s daily sending limit (500 emails a day with a free Gmail account and 2,000 emails a day with a G Suite account).
Use Gumbamail drag & drop template editor to create top-notch email designs. It’s as easy as dragging and changing the content you need. All free templates have the correct HTML and are responsive, which means you can be sure that your design will look perfect on any device or screen, no need to know how to code.
Create your design from scratch with a simple template or adapt any of the more than 800 available templates to your style. You can customize your template first or simply edit it on the go while creating a campaign. With YAMM you can only send plain text emails that you have previously created on Google Docs.
You can import your recipient lists easily from the format you like: a .csv file, a Google Drive spreadsheet, or from Google Contacts. You will also get access to an advanced reporting dashboard for each email list without leaving Gmail: subscribes, unsubscribes, average open, and click-through rate.
Track your email campaigns and lists over time checking the visual dashboard right on your Gmail. You can also export each report to a .csv file. All the information you need to track the success of your campaigns within reach, right in your Gmail account: delivered emails, bounced emails, opened, click-through rate, and unsubscribes. YAMM offers fewer email metrics and you will have to go to each recipient list on Google Sheets to track your emails, no visual dashboard available.
Unlike YAMM, where you have to manage unsubscribes manually by adding an opt-out link on every one of your emails, Gumbamail templates already include an unsubscribe link by default that is connected to your email lists. You will only send out your campaigns to those interested in your content, ensuring you comply with the EU-GDPR, CAN-Spam Act, and regulations from other jurisdictions regarding email.
Our plans depend mostly on the number of emails per month to be sent. You can start by adding Gumbamail for free to your Gmail account and explore all the features of the extension. Check them out and find the best solution for your needs
